Can you believe its only August and all the stores are all about Halloween already?! I seem to be thinking about Halloween too...thinking about what fun things I can make and give this year! When I think about it, I just love to give cute little treats anytime of the year....but I love it most when the Kids are so excited to take their treats to school! They get so happy, carrying their goodies like prized possessions....I love that.
I've seen similar bags online I decided to try and make a few of these little sacks, myself. They were so fun to make....perfect for a treat giving!! Small hardware sacks, decorated with bits of this and that...Can't you just see a bunch of these all filled with goodies in a galvanized tub? Fun!!!
So my office is turning into a Black and Orange mecca of goodies....waiting for me to turn things into other things....and I still have a Big giveaway in the works so I'm going back to work!
Have a Super Day!!

A Thanks and Goodbye.....
Well...This is my last post for the P K Glitz blog, at least as a Design Team member! While they have asked me to stay on, I have decided I need to work on getting more going in my etsy store and have a few other things in the works, including taking some college graphics classes and possibly teaching scrapbooking classes locally!
I have so enjoyed "meeting" all the girls and playing with all the products!! I know I will use P K Glitz products in future projects so you'll see the sparkly stuff here...because really....who can create without glitter around????? So Thanks, P K Glitz, for having me and for all the fun!!!

Just a quick Tip!!
Its crazy busy around here....School starts tomorrow and its been shopping and registering and lots of end of the summer complaining about having to come in early and go to bed on time and the dread of getting up in the morning....but I'm happy about it...and after tomorrow, they will be too...because...School is Cool!!
I did this tip for the P K Glitz website and thought I'd share it here too. The tip is that you can use acrylic paint with your stamps and it will act as glue too! woohooo...
I took a little Inkadinkado spider stamp and painted it lightly with black acrylic paint….stamped it and then poured Glitter Glitz in Black all over it….
I waited until it dried. Then brushed off the excess glitter and….a cool and different looking little spider!!
Try it with white paint and snowflakes stamps and Crystal Clear Glitter Glitz for a really pretty snowy sparkle……the ideas are endless…
Well...I'm off...its 104 degrees here after 6pm and its sticky and sweaty...tomorrow is suppose to be even hotter...and I need to get organized!!! ahhhhhhhhh.........
Oh...and.....I'll be having a HAPPY giveaway here soon...so don't forget to check back....

Back to School Challenge!!!
Its Challenge time again over at P K Glitz!!!! This month we were asked to create something that was all about "Back To School"!! For my project, I decided to create a little bucket that my 5th Grade Daughter can give to her new Teacher.
Inside the bucket has almost everything needed to start a little flower pot...some potting soil pellets, a flower seed mix, a spade, a cute name stick, a little terra cotta mushroom decoration, which of course, needed a little China Red glitter all over its tops, all in a cute bucket {that also got a few little glitter highlights!} The tag is tied to the bucket with a ribbon and reads: Looking Forward to "Growing" With You This Year!! Super cute and I'm hoping her Teacher will like it!! So....you know what the Challenge is: Back to School Theme, use some Glitter on your project and then link up on the P K Glitz blog.....there is also a prize, so go check it out and enter today!!
I can't wait to see what you can come up with...

Acting Silly!!
Grammy and the Girls all acting silly!! Gotta Love Them!! Here is a fun layout that I did for P K Glitz. I love having glittered letters and I love using supplies I already have. Using what you have.....unglittered letters and fabulous glitter equals fabulously glittered letters! The Prickley Pear stamp worked perfectly on the card stock too...added just the right amount of interest! Love that!! (Speaking of Prickley Pear...I really want their Butterfly stamps and matching Die...YUM!!..Go look!!!!) You can get some of the flowers and the cancelled postage stamps in my esty store....they are such Happy Embellishments!!
*And just in case, you're reading Mom, I'm thinking its time "Grammy" came out and visited here!! hint, hint..Just saying....
This week FLEW by!! College classes are starting for one. Next week will be the final week of Summer for the other two. Seems like every Kid had sleepovers here at one point or another this week. One got home from camp, one is now going camping...Its Crazy around here!! Family Fun is also this weekend and I have yet to figure out what were doing! Any Ideas???? Inexpensive but Fun!!??? A House Fit for A Fairy!!
Family Fun last month came around and we decided to go to a local Wildlife Museum. There were lots of different types of birds. We saw the HUGE Bald Eagles and even measured our own arms to see what type of Eagle we were closest to, in wing span. There were Big Ravens and lots of different Owls. When we were done touring, we headed out to the craft store and everybody picked a birdhouse to paint. I picked a small one. One that could fit a little bird but even more perfect for a little Woodland Fairy!
Of course I thought....What kind of Fairy wouldn't want their roof and floor sprinkled with Fairy Dust? I couldn't’t think of any, so after I painted it…I used Modge Podge to adhere beautiful Glitter Crystals in Crystal Clear from P K Glitz, all over it!! Love it!! I'm quite certain I could use these Crystals on Everything!!!
I hope you have fun plans this weekend and if not, I still hope that you flitter forth like fairies and accomplish a many great things!

A Mini Art Journal....Sneak Peek!!
I've been working on some Mini Art Journals! I've forgotten how much fun and calming they are to make!
Do you journal?
Collecting bits of the days journey and the rush of thoughts and ideas that can come through out the day. I do. I even carry a little one in my purse with me. I draw and sketch in it. I jot down something I might want and the price of it. I might write down a birthday or a to do list. Grocery lists and bill calculations, often plague my little book.
My Youngest keeps her own art journals and I'll admit...I've taken a peek in them once or twice, I couldn't help it. I see her working on them sometimes, but she when asked to share, she just smiles, a sneaky, not on your life kinda smile....she's a beautiful 10 year old...and her creativity is a completely awesome. She takes tickets and stamps and cuts photos out of magazines of things she like and things she doesn't. She writes made up stories and talks about people and her day and feelings. Some pages are just hundreds of stickers, some, in neat little rows....she has no IDEA how much I ADORE her books! Love!!
What are in your books? Can you share???
I'll have one or two mini art journals in my etsy store next week. Filled with 25 or more pages, some left blank for you to add your own bits of fun, thoughts and photos and some pages will have a few yummies already attached waiting for you to decorate around them!!
I hope that you'll come back to take a peek!!

August Already???
This layout was so fun to make! I'm sure it was probably made easy to do by the fact that the subjects in this picture are some of my most favorite peeps, ever!! =:O) I made this layout for P K Glitz. I used their China Red Glitter Glitz on one of the embellishments and also on the journaling tag (which I kinda cropped out of the photo..oops!) It is such a beautiful red! Like a sparkle burst of fun! I love this color....really!!!
I think what's even more fun is that I'm going to be offering a couple of different embellishment packs in my etsy store this week with fabric flowers and homemade paper goodness! I hope you'll like them. Here is a close up of some of the embellishments! Some of which are already in my shop!! FUN!!
It's hard to believe its August already! Where did the summer go? Why does it seem the lazy days and carefree nights begin to end before they have even begun? Now is the time for getting back to schedules and alarm clocks, hurried mornings and lunch money. I'm happy and kinda sad. While the Kids are still having fun with different activities, I am missing the big excitement of a family trip which we did not take this year due to our own "economic situation". I miss the long flight and road stops on the drive of getting to somewhere fun. Did you go somewhere this summer? A place you feel refreshed and ready to start again? What was the best part of it? Where do you want to go next? I'm still hopeful for a weekend away. The beach is calling me and I'll be here just looking for a way to pick up and answer that call!
