It's P K Glitz Sketch Challenge Time!!!

Time for this months sketch challenges over at P K Glitz and by playing along you could be a Guest Designer for September! Here are the sketches...

This month I played along and here is my take on the sketch....I switched it...putting the journaling where the picture goes and the picture where the journaling goes...that's the fun part about sketches...they are your interpretation and creative starters for you to just get going!!! Now, I can't really let you read this journaling because its a note to the newest Graduate in the family and if I let you read it....well...(I know you thought I was going to say...I'd have to Kill you...and I thought about it for a second!)..but really its because he'd probably be embarrassed and while I like to embarrass him sometimes..this was a little personal for even me to share....Sorry....Just know this...He's come along way!!! =:O)

Its been pretty hot around here the last couple of days. The weather is wacky...cool and breezy and then the next day, hot and sticky....I've been working on getting some things done to put in my store....but it sure is slow going with me. I feel guilty being in here during the day when the Kids want to be going and doing something and then am tired in the evening and want to just hang out...then when I go to bed....my head is full of ideas and things to do and things I should have done...it's hard to sleep...Does that happen to you? Mind racing at midnight, full of ideas and plans...just when you want to be enjoying your coveted slumber??

“You’ll Flip for This” Challenge

P K Glitz is having a Flip Flop Challenge! You can "flip" over to the P K Glitz blog to see the rules on how you can participate!!! Here's my take on the challenge...I made a cute table decoration. Wouldn't this be so cute at a backyard BBQ or beach party?

I made the little flip flops using craft card stock and them glittered them with pretty Sea Mist Glitter Glitz.....Love!!

Get your Bark on!

I'm quite certain my Girls like going to the Dog Park just as much, if not more, than the Dogs do!! Its so entertaining to watch them and all the Dogs run around meeting new "friends"...I'm certain you can't be there without finding your smile.

I made the glitter strip using Wonder Film from P K Glitz. I think I just might Love that product!!
I've also been working on some festive little scalloped buntings and some other little goodies that I hope to have up in my shop by the end of the weekend! Here's a little peek...

Very Fun!!! I've decided I love sewing, its almost calming in a way. I'm not certain I could create clothes just yet but small happy things....I can handle!

4th of July Treat Sacks!!!!

I wanted some little treat bags for the Kids for the 4th, so after I Glittered these little sacks up with Red, White and Blue glitter glitz from P K Glitz, I searched around for some graphics to use and when I saw this free download from Paper and Pigtails for these adorable little circles, I knew I wanted to use them!!

Inside each treat sack...is candy, bubbles, star necklaces, star ring and some gum...they will keep the Kids occupied for about....well...a minute!! They will be fun to put out!! What are your plans? Are you going anywhere? Staying at home? Whats on the menu?

Breast Cancer Awareness Shovels!!

I wanted to share a recent custom order I did for Breast Cancer Awareness...So Soft and Pretty...the little tags say things like "Dig Deep for The Cure" and "Digging For A Cure" Love them!!! I put some in the shop so if you want some you can order them there!

My Sister and her Husband left to continue their travels of No. CA...heading off to Carmel and I wish they would have stayed longer!!! Now its time to start getting ready for the 4th of July...we have Friends coming down....I haven't fully figured out whats on the menu....but it needs to be easy....What is on your menu? Are you going out?? Staying in??? I made little treat bags for the Kids already....I can show you them tomorrow.....they have sparkle on them!!!!

Hand Dying Your Own Ribbon!

Ever work on a project and cant find the perfect ribbon in your stash to match your project? Well in case you haven't ever dyed your own ribbon...not only is it fun...its super easy...
To get started…get out your ribbon you want to dye and your color sprays, today I'm using Ritzy Ditzy Glitz sprays from P K Glitz. I’m using Turquoise and Gold for a cool summer color. I put down plastic wrap so that no spray is lost and it all gets soaked into my ribbon.

Next: Mist your ribbon lightly with water and then start spraying your main color…

While you are spraying, move your ribbon around to get color everywhere on it, picking up the spray that is on the plastic wrap too. When you have the color you like…add your second color….

Do the same thing you did with the first color, move the ribbon around, picking up the spray on the plastic wrap. When you are happy with the color. Stop and let it dry. When it dries it will be a little lighter. If you want more color…repeat the process.

I am calling this color Gilded Mermaid! Too fun!! There are so many color possibilities...I love dying my own ribbon and I bet you will too!!

A week of Fun...

Where does all the time go....and why does it go so fast??? Another busy week is starting and one is finishing...Family Fun Night was last weekend and we Went and saw Toy Story 3...too cute!! The Kids loved it. We also went to the Country Throwdown for Fathers Day! Had Awesome seats..4th row! Very Fun...saw some really great bands like Little Big Town and Jamey Johnson but by far...Montgomery Gentry were my favorite...If you like country music....I would suggest seeing MG in concert...they were super fun!!

This is also happening this week...our anniversary...ahhhhhhh...Not sure what we will be doing but I do know...Honey got our Katie to come over to babysit because she called to confirm! =:O)

Next up is Honey's Birthday and I haven't figured out what we will be doing just yet...so it will be another busy....but FUN week.....I'll have some crafty projects for you later too!!

The Jump into Summer Blog Hop with myStamp BOX, Helmar and P K Glitz started today! For my P K Glitz entry...I made these...Fun little lollipops that my Daughter took to her class on the last day of school this week.
On the backside of each of the lollipops was a cute note that said if you wanted to get together over the summer to play, to call her but that if she didn't see them, she wanted them to have a great summer and she would see them in 5th grade!! How cute is that?!!!

The MyStamp BOX sentiment, "Wishing you Sunshine" couldn't have been more perfect with these Play Date Lollipops and the Transparent Glitter Crystals added just enough pop and dimension that I was looking for!! Love them!!

You Make Each Day ~ Sweeter!

Good Morning!! Its bright and sunny here already today and it is officially the first day of summer vacation for the Kiddos! This card to me just oozes the warmth of summer time. It reminds me of a sweet fruit salad with bits of watermelon, oranges and strawberries..Yum, can you taste that?!

Grocery store, probably the pool and working on some orders and assignments are on the agenda for today....What exciting things are you planning for today?!? Whatever you've got going on, I hope its sweet!!

Good Morning!!!!!

Just a quick post here today....I wanted to show you a layout I did for P K Glitz last week....Its so easy to make chipboard letter titles "pop" when you put glitter on them! Love that!!

Its been pretty busy around here with last days of school stuff! It already feels like summer vacation has started even though they don't actually finish school until next week! Are your Kids out of school? What exciting summer things do you have planned?

Monday, Monday....

When my neighbor brought me over some bags of craft supplies that she was no longer using, I knew I would find some treasures in there....sure enough I found a BUNCH of embroidery hoops! Lately, I've been seeing them decorated as wall hangings and just LOVED the idea! So I gave it a try!!!!

I'm glad I did. Easy and fun!! You should so try it!! I made this one for P K Glitz and if you do make one I would definitely recommend using glitter on the rim...it looks so pretty and adds a lot to it!! You can see a different picture and find all the details on their blog...
How was your weekend? Pretty quiet around here...but alas...no dieting and I'm not weighing in today. I already know. I wonder if I will every figure out how to have enough motivation to keep me on track. This week should be pretty busy...next week starts summer vacation and I'm kinda happy...kinda sad.

4th of July Table Decorating!

I love to have little decorations out here and there! For Memorial Day and for the 4th of July, I found these awesome little buckets and just by adding ribbon to them and of course glitter,

they turned out to be the cutest cookie buckets...you can get all the details for this project on the P K Glitz blog!!

And speaking about P K Glitz.....I am super excited to announce that I have been asked to stay on the Design Team for another 3 months!!! Woooohooooo...more glitter, more fun!!! Hop over to their blog to meet the new girls that are joining the team!!
With the help of my Sister, we finally cleaned out the big hall (hoarder) closet that has been bothering me for a long while. I can't believe how happy it makes me (it truly is the little things) =:O) We donated TONs of stuff and tossed quite a bit too! I am amazed at what and how much was in there!! Its a good thing no one else ever saw the inside that closet.... Thanks Auntie!!
