Spooky Pillow Boxes!!!

Edited to add: I put a Kit to make these in my etsy shop!

Hello!!! Happy Tuesday!!! How is the start of your week going? Busy as always around here...and still feeling like I never get anything done.

Just a quick post today...wondering if you ever package up gifts in pillow boxes? You can make them or buy them in all different sizes and they decorate so easy and fun! I love them!!! I decided to make some for Halloween treats and stuffed them full of sweet candy {that I wanted to eat the whole time!!}

Using my hand dyed ribbon and some bling these little pillow boxes really came alive...love them...and they would make perfect classroom treats or party favors too, dontcha think??!!

Its so hard for me to be thinking about Halloween and Thanksgiving and the Holiday season when the temperature around here is still in the high 80s and 90s and I'm sweating in my house!! I like fall...I like the seasons....I love snow....its crazy that I still need to hit the pool to cool off!!!!

Okay....I'm going back to work...I am going to do a few craft fairs this season and I need to really start working on some projects so my table isn't empty!!

You are the Apple of my Eye......

We are almost at the end of the first week of school and things have been going pretty smoothly!! YAY!!! I decided they needed another first week of school treat, so inside the Girls {and Honeys!} lunches today is this super sweet "Apple" treat!

After seeing pictures of them on the Pinterest, I was able to find the recipe on Gourmet Mom on the Go. I did change the leaves and used Air Heads candy instead of frosting for them. Using a small heart cookie cutter, I made two heart leafs per apple. I think they turned out pretty cute! I was surprised to find that the coloring was from Jello and not food coloring but after making them...and tasting them....Jello makes krispy treats quite deeee-lious!!!

Since no treat would be complete without cute packaging....I found the adorable and Free {Thank You!!} Apple of my Eye tag on Jam*n*Jilly! It was the perfect tag!!

Don't you think "Apple of my Eye"...is a funny saying?! According to the U.S. Apple Association...The "expression dates back to ancient Greece and Rome, when people conceived of the pupil of the eye to be, like the apple, a global object. The word itself comes from the Anglo-Saxon “aeppel”, which literally meant both “eye” and “apple.” In addition to providing the literal, vital sense of vision, the pupil was also regarded as the figurative "window" to the treasured secrets within each of us. Thus, the “apple of my eye” meant someone very beloved". Interesting, don't you think!!!

I'm going to "try" and spend some time cleaning my studio today so that I might be able to work in here...I feel the need to make happy things!!!!

Hope you have a Great day!!!!
xoxo,

Classroom Treaties!

I can't believe this is the last year I can send Halloween treats into the classroom,{although, at this school they are not suppose to have any treats, but I sneak em in anyway!}. Next year my youngest baby will be in Jr. High and they don't take a bunch of treats in...they just want a couple for their best friends. This year Hannah wanted to give little treats and picked these...

I always like to use what I have in my office....so after looking around I came up with these...tiny little envelopes. Decorated with some ribbon, ticket and spooky spider.

We tucked a little piece of Martha Stewart scrapbook paper in each envie to give it a little pop. For the back, I printed a little label that says...Happy Halloween from Hannah...Cute, easy and inexpensive....my favorite things!!

I still have to make a treat for Miranda, she wants something a little bigger, "because she's older". Luckily, I only have to make 10 for her but since she needs them tonight for the church group is having a little Halloween party...I better get to work! What treats did you come up for your Kids?

Blog Hop with Perferred Partners!

The Jump into Summer Blog Hop with myStamp BOX, Helmar and P K Glitz started today! For my P K Glitz entry...I made these...Fun little lollipops that my Daughter took to her class on the last day of school this week.
On the backside of each of the lollipops was a cute note that said if you wanted to get together over the summer to play, to call her but that if she didn't see them, she wanted them to have a great summer and she would see them in 5th grade!! How cute is that?!!!

The MyStamp BOX sentiment, "Wishing you Sunshine" couldn't have been more perfect with these Play Date Lollipops and the Transparent Glitter Crystals added just enough pop and dimension that I was looking for!! Love them!!
If you would like to join in the fun and go on a blog hop, start the blog hop HERE! There are prizes along the way and lots of inspiration to see...
Have Fun!!!

Top of the Mornin' Marshmallow Lollipops!

Whew, been busy all day making these little lollipops... and now one of my little Helpers is home from school and she is now finishing up these yummies that she is taking to school tomorrow to give to her classmates instead of giving them little leprechaun pinches which her Teacher told the class they could NOT do to each other tomorrow! Ahhhhhh...

I'm not a very big St. Patrick's Day celebrator..so chocolate covered Marshmallows seemed just like the perfect little treat and the fact that I had all the supplies and I only needed a bag of Marshmallows to make it happen...really helped!!

The crazy leprechaun does come by and does a couple of silly things....like making the milk green....and I don't need a reason to make corned beef, yum! so I'll be making that...Do you have any plans? Drinking Green Beer? Going out? Do Tell!!!
