Easy Halloween Treat Bags!!

I dusted off the cobwebs in my studio and made a couple of Halloween treat bags to give out! I love this time of year!! It makes me feel closer to my Family and want to be home cooking, decorating, crafting and hanging out more! Like nesting but without the pending pregnancy, thank goodness! LOL. I am hoping for lots of rainy, blistery days this fall season!!

All these Halloween treat bags are super easy to make! Some of them I just used pre-made bags or sacks and just altered them to make them a little more homemade! How easy is that???

This first one was super simple… A kraft treat bag, ribbon, metal tag and an adorable owl charm. "Owl" always love giving these treats out!! harharhehe.

Next is a Martha Stewart treat bag. I buy her bags every Holiday…they are normal really cute and with just a little homemade touch they always make the cutest bags. For this one, I just added the doily, ribbon, glittered clothespin and my favorite little spider too.

I found these pre-made Jolee's Boutique bags this year too…I just added rhinestones to the bag and tied it up with pretty ribbon and a vintage flower stem! I love that treat giving can be simple, fast and fun!!!

I made a few more but my camera battery died so this is the last one I'll be showing you today. (I love it when Im prepared to blog and then I'm really not….) This little treat bag took a little more effort but still easy to do and I think it turned out super cute! (Kinda bummed that the feathers blocked my bat but unfortunately, I didn't notice it until I put in on here!!!)

Do you get a lot of trick or treaters at your house?? Did you make any treats this year for Halloween??

I'm off to walk our doggies, Thor and Celia and make a quick stop at the dog park. Speaking of Halloween, we got them a shark costume a couple of weeks ago to try on…they didn't seem to like it. We will probably find them a t-shirt or something to wear…They are so cute dressed up!!! Do you dress your animals up??? (and I'm not talking about the Husband or Kids! Heehee)

(P.S. My studio really didn't have that many cobwebs…I just have found it harder to keep up with the blog)

Hope you're creating something fabulous!!

The Luck of the Green!!!

St. Patrick's Day is this weekend!!! A day of feasting and drinking large amounts of green beer!! While I probably wont be drinking any green beer, I might drink one out of a green bottle....Stella....{I know...not Irish!} For dinner we will be having the customary Corned Beef and Cabbage...which I love but don't eat that often..{very fatty and very salty!!}...

I decided to make some chocolate covered brownie bites to give as little treats, took the easy way too and used a mix which my Darling Daughter happily made...once they were decorated with a little shamrock love and gold sanding sugar they were so perfect...tasty, easy and fun!! Great for a little lucky gift too....

I used a fabric sewn shipping tag and some handmade yo-yos to decorate the tag and simply popped in on the filled bag.....

Fun!!
What are your plans for the weekend? Have anything green going on??

I will leave you with one of my favorite songs as a kid....The Unicorn Song by the Irish Rovers...sure to please!! Haha!!

May all your days be lucky,

Dreadfully Delightful......

Friday, Friday!!! {Did you just catch yourself singing that?!}

I've been working on some cute little paper bag pocket treats for Halloween!! Perfect for tasty gift giving!!

These are so fun to make...you feel like your creating a new little art piece with each one.

I used tiny paper bags. They are approximately 4.75" x 7". My friend, Mandi gave me lots of them to use! {Thank you, Mandi!} These are my favorite because they fit a gift card in the front pocket perfectly!! For Christmas I made dozens of them!! They look pretty awesome for Birthdays too!!

I love these spooky ones. I used regular Hershey bars as the main candy but you could use anything that you like. The bag of spiders came from Target last year and I hope they have some this year as they are the best...flat bottoms, perfect for gluing and realistic...Love them!!

Here they are all ready to go off to new homes! I wonder if I should put these on etsy? Maybe?!

My Daughter called this morning from school....she forgot her binder, could I please bring it...I told her I couldn't...I told her I had asked her a dozen times between last night and this morning if she had everything in her backpack and reminded her she said she did...everytime...I felt so bad and mean. I told her she would have to tell her Teacher that she had forgotten it. Her tiny voice quivered and she said Ok. I told her I loved her. I told her to have a good day. Her little tiny voice quivered again and I could tell she was trying so hard not to cry. We hung up and I practically cried myself!! Responsibility and Accountability...Right????? Right??? Its a good thing this is only the second week of school and we get to learn this lesson right off the bat....ugh....my poor little peanut!!

Hope you have a wonderfully, exciting weekend!!
xoxo,

Happy Friday!!!

I'm recovering from my yearly dose of tryptophan and the sleepiness that come afterwards!! I even slept in =:O) Of course my tiredness could have come from all the older Kids going out at midnight to do some Christmas shopping and either calling or coming home at 3, 4, and almost 5 in the morning!! All telling stories of the crowds and their CrAzY shopping experiences....I did a little online shopping at midnight and was pretty happy with my purchases. I'm not a big crowd fighter so I was done by 12:30am!! Did you brave the crowds and go out? What was your most amazing deal?

I did make some of these little candy pockets goodie bags before the Thanksgiving guests arrived. I saw some similar for Thanksgiving and thought what a great idea for Christmas!

Filled with lots of yummy candy....The Candy cane can be placed on the tree afterwards and the little tag can even be used again on a parcel or package! Love that!! Too fun!! I put some in my etsy store in case your interested!

Well, I'm off...going to do a little more online shopping and then start working on some more goodie bags for the craft show. Hope you are having a Great Day and if you're shopping...you are getting Great deals!!

Digging In!

Dont' forget to enter my Spooktackular Giveaway here!!

I haven't meant to ignore you. I think of you often. I think about how I need to create something new and show you.....but I've been working on some custom orders...making some "no need to dig a grave" spooky vampire favors for some one's Halloween party...which are Rottenly Good! {Is that an oxymoron?!} I think these would be perfect for a Twilight party too...don't you think?

I've also been working on an order for these cute treat bags for a special girl's classroom treat! I've Loved making these! The faux spiders are the best!! They would be so perfect for a Halloween party favor too!! {Both of these are available to order in my etsy store!}

We've also been working on a face lift for our bathroom! Since our budget is pretty small...we are painting and redecorating on a dime but its turning out too cute and when its done...I'll show you the before and after...Black Damask and Yellow Fun!! It is amazing what a little paint can do!!! I hope to be back later this week with something new to show you!

Halloween is Coming....

Can you believe its only August and all the stores are all about Halloween already?! I seem to be thinking about Halloween too...thinking about what fun things I can make and give this year! When I think about it, I just love to give cute little treats anytime of the year....but I love it most when the Kids are so excited to take their treats to school! They get so happy, carrying their goodies like prized possessions....I love that.

I've seen similar bags online I decided to try and make a few of these little sacks, myself. They were so fun to make....perfect for a treat giving!! Small hardware sacks, decorated with bits of this and that...Can't you just see a bunch of these all filled with goodies in a galvanized tub? Fun!!!

So my office is turning into a Black and Orange mecca of goodies....waiting for me to turn things into other things....and I still have a Big giveaway in the works so I'm going back to work!
Have a Super Day!!

4th of July Treat Sacks!!!!

I wanted some little treat bags for the Kids for the 4th, so after I Glittered these little sacks up with Red, White and Blue glitter glitz from P K Glitz, I searched around for some graphics to use and when I saw this free download from Paper and Pigtails for these adorable little circles, I knew I wanted to use them!!

Inside each treat sack...is candy, bubbles, star necklaces, star ring and some gum...they will keep the Kids occupied for about....well...a minute!! They will be fun to put out!! What are your plans? Are you going anywhere? Staying at home? Whats on the menu?
Hope whatever you are doing its fun!! Have a great weekend!!!

School's Out...Crafting is back in!

Well..it's finally here...the last day of the Kids school...on one hand I'm happy because it seemed really busy these past couple of weeks and also because I've made some arrangements to head back to Canada to see my Grammy who is turning 100 this summer!! The Kids are excited about that....On the other hand...um..Im not so ready for the inevitable... "I'm Bored", "What can we do", "Where can we go" questions that happens every 15 mins if we are at home!! I still haven't had time to finish my envelope album..ugh...but I thought I'd show you these cute and easy treat bags I have been making. Photobucket
They are so fun to make!! Great for Teachers, Friends or anyone who deserves a little somethin' somethin'. Made with Hershey nuggets and scrapbook paper...the themes and ideas are endless!!
Well....I'm off...the Kids want to go rent movies.....
