So Thankful for Small Blessings!

Its so hard to believe another school year has started. The first day was hard for me (as it is every year!) My daughter headed to Middle school, excited, but as she got out of the car, she said she was nervous! I knew she would be okay but as I silently drove my youngest Daughter to school I couldn't hold back the tears that streamed down my face. My Kids are so incredible and I am amazed that I have another Senior in the house and a now "another" new Middle Schooler! As the week has progressed, I've learned they ALL love their Teachers and are happy with the prospect of this exciting new year. That makes me so happy for them and I feel incredibly Thankful right now..I guess that's why I decided to do a couple of Thanksgiving cards! These cards were so fun to make. I loved distressing the little chipboard hearts and spritzing the flowers with Glimmer Mist for a sparkly antiqued look. The BoBunny paper works perfect with fall and Thanksgiving flavors and using Kraft card stock is perfect for the look!!

I'm off now to make some fresh salsa. My Neighbor brought over a tray filled with tomatoes, fresh garlic & peppers along with some more zucchini from her garden and it just Screams..."Salsa"!!

Tis the Season! New Card Kit!!

I will have a new card kit up by the end of the weekend on Etsy! These are just some of things you can make with the kit! Add stuff from your own stash to make it completely you-unique!!

The tag will look so cute on a Holiday gift and who doesnt love getting a chocolate bar, especially when its wrapped up all pretty!!??!! Here's a close up of the card! I've decided Felt is my new friend! I love working with it and makes things look so soft and pretty!!

I still need to brush up on my photo skills...I've decided that my camera is really the problem =;O) but it doesnt help that I can't find the proper lighting!
Hard to believe the Kids start school on Monday! Happy about it but realize they are so getting older! My Daughter is heading into Middle School....how did that happen??? Amazing!!!

Happy Birthday, Mum!!

My Mum is going to be older this week...so I made her a card...and I "aged" it to match her! heheheheh.... My picture taking skills need some serious work...I know!!

I used a K&C Flower, they are so fun, like little pom pom's of happiness! The pink lace was sent to me (Thanks Becky!!) and its just lovely. The buttons, in a bag of beautiful, pinks, greens and blues. I'm not sure where the chipboard came from. The striped paper is Imaginisce and the beautiful patterned paper is from Tinkering Ink, which I just love!
I'm so use to doing things neat and precise. Clean edges, nothing undone. "Shabby", Distressing are kinda new to me so Im having fun playing around with different elements and techniques. I hope you like my mood?! I know, I do. Thanks for visiting me and have a fabulous day!

Halloween Tags!

I made these tags last Halloween and just listed them in my Etsy shop. They are sooooo fun to make and have a spooky and vintage mood to them..which seems to be MY mood lately.

Im still working on the school tags and trying to figure out what little treat I can put in their backpacks without them knowing and that wont get smashed... Any Ideas?

School's almost Back in Session!!!

The summer is coming to a close. The kids get their new schedules soon and I will have 3 kids in 3 different schools, luckily, 1 has his own car. I'm dreading the cost...this years yearbook is $80 alone for one of them! Add in the P.E. clothes, dues, pictures, ect....well...its overwhelming!!
I made this card today just because I am Thankful for school starting soon and that the kids still like school, well....most of the time! Its exciting!

I'm working on a couple of little school tags that I will sneak into the kids backpacks with a treat of some sort on the first day of school...I'll show you those soon!! Until then, Have a great day and Thank You for visiting!!

Happy Tree Friends!

Wow...What a week! Unfortunately, Kolt had to be picked up from cancer camp because he got sick and was running a fever! =:O( I was babysitting a friend's kids and couldn't go so "Honey" had to take training off early to make the 3 1/2 hour drive up to get him! He seems to be doing better but we will have to wait and see...the bug that went around landed some of the kids in the hospital with pneumonia and I'm hoping we don't see that here!! On the other hand...he Loved the camping snack attack box!!! =:O)
Did anyone watch the meteor show? I caught a glimpse of the most magical meteor I have ever seen on Wednesday night/Thurs. morning....It was HUGE and fiery red and orange...it was just plain....Awesome and gave me serious goosebumps!! I hope if you were looking you saw one too!
I've been inspired to do a Halloween card.....kinda vintage and playful, different but I like it!

I used some paper from last season from Doodlebug and Making Memories. I don't know where the stamp is from...its on a set of three sayings. Maybe the $1 spot at Michael's??? I love the new Martha Stewart spiderweb punch but I really want to get my hands on the goop one!!! Way cool!!
All week long the puppies have been going crazy at random times during the day...running outside, running around the perimeter of the yard...barking...then back in the house again....I finally followed them around the yard wondering what had them so ruffled up....I think they found a new tree friend.....

Camping Snack Attack!!!

I'm sending this card and little snack attack box to a super special kid, mine =:O) who is currently volunteering up at a cancer camp. For several years he was a camper there and now he is volunteering his time! I love that! The card is stamped with Camping Riley! I love Riley...hes so fun to color!!

Some of his favorites are in the box. I used some Basic Grey paper to wrap a couple of the candies to add a little somethin' to the look! I'm sure he wont even notice but it was fun just the same!

A Fun Challenge can always Motivate!!

Well I haven't done any challenges in a long while so I thought I would try one!! Here is my card using the sketch from the Friday Sketchers blog! I hope you like it!! Unfortunately, you can't really see the shimmer on the wings but I love how it looks in person!!

I often forget to do some of the challenges on these blogs. I shouldn't because it not only gives you ideas but it certainly helps motivate you (and the chance to win something...well...you know I'm all for that!! =:O) If you haven't tried them yet... Do!!
Today, I made Chicken Dumpling Stew in the crock pot. I love cooking in the crock pot, the whole house smells yummy all day! I'm off to see if it turned out as good as it smells! Have a great night!!

Cancer Sucks! Yes, I said that!!!

I'm Back....Canada was wonderful! It was great to see all my family and Nana who is turning 100 couldn't look more fabulous!! Funny thing about vacations...I'm always happy to go on them and I'm always happy to return from them! =:O)
Today I made this card for my Friend and Neighbor who has just been recently diagnosed with breast cancer. =:O( She is having surgery today and I have been thinking about her all day so what better time, then now, to make her an I'm thinking of you card?

I used the traditional Pink color on this card but Im sure I will be making more for her that will not be pink...I thought this cute mouse from Whipper Snapper Designs that someone nice on SCS sent me was perfect just to let her know I want her to get well. On the inside of the card I put some crystal butterflies~that look so pretty! The circle sentiment, I believe, is from the Cutting Cafe that I downloaded a while back.
I hope to be crafting more but I will be listing less on eBay right now. I'm am going to work on items now and sell them in the fall. That way when the busier times come I can list regularly instead of having weeks where I list nothing.....Okay...it's a plan...a new plan...it can't be a bad thing!

LiL Summer Sweetie!!

I haven't worked on a layout in so long. I decided to get back in the swing of it and try one! Unfortunately, (or not) I got a new computer and it doesn't have the photo editing software I had on the other one...so I'm completely lost on how to edit my pictures =:O(

I love orange and teal! This page is a summer day if I ever saw one! I used My Mind's eye paper and I have to say, I love all their lines! They are always so pretty! I painted the letter with Making Memories sparkly paint to match perfect the Bazzill swiss dot paper and then distressed them a little to have the white show thru! Too fun! Doodlebug ribbons here and there add a little somethin' somethin'.
Well, I guess I better go figure out how to edit my pictures so I can get this layout on eBay. The kids want to go swimming and are mad at my computer too! Hope I can figure it out!

The Tests Came Back!

Okay...I know its silly, but I like it! I found these great big Test Tubes and I thought, hmmmm.. I'll figure something out....so they sat...and then this week a I was at the pool with the kids and one of my Daughter's friends was there....her Mom and I got to talking about how I was looking for a specific beach lounge chair and I had searched all over for it and couldn't find it...fast forward to a couple of hours later...back home, a knock at the door...she had been out shopping and found the chair I wanted and picked it up for me!!!!! How nice is that??? It made my day and now I have a cool chair to lay on at the pool!!!! Anyway, she didn't want money for it so I made her this cute little "Thank You"...The candy inside is her favorite, but the ideas are endless of what you could put in it!! The colors match the color of the chair...fun!!!

Here's what the top looks like. It's such a fun little thing, I don't know why I like it so, I hope she does. I used Imaginisce paper that I've had for a while (Thanks Jackie!!) Hero Arts stamps. Doodlebug Card stock & Rhinestones, punches, ribbon and a whole lot of Sour Gummi Worms!!

Happy Father's Day!!

Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there! While my own Dad has passed away he was thought of today! We had a great day today. Friends called this morning and invited us to go the local Water Park with them, we went and had a great time! The girls enjoyed going down the slides with their Dads and we enjoyed the Lazy River. The water was freezing but well worth the fun. We then headed over to a BBQ, with yummy foods and good company! My Husband had a great Father's Day!!
I rushed last night to make him this card. The Super Man/Moose Riley stamp was Perfect for how I feel about my Honey! I used Basic Grey paper, Hero Art stamp. Copic Markers and Dew Drops and I forgot who made the pins!

While I did rush and its a small card and the picture is horrible, I think it turned out pretty cute, yes it's a little off but...when he opened it, he said.."You made ME a card" and told me he loved it!! Awwwwwwww....and isnt that what its all about?!!

School's Out...Crafting is back in!

Well..it's finally here...the last day of the Kids school...on one hand I'm happy because it seemed really busy these past couple of weeks and also because I've made some arrangements to head back to Canada to see my Grammy who is turning 100 this summer!! The Kids are excited about that....On the other hand...um..Im not so ready for the inevitable... "I'm Bored", "What can we do", "Where can we go" questions that happens every 15 mins if we are at home!! I still haven't had time to finish my envelope album..ugh...but I thought I'd show you these cute and easy treat bags I have been making.
They are so fun to make!! Great for Teachers, Friends or anyone who deserves a little somethin' somethin'. Made with Hershey nuggets and scrapbook paper...the themes and ideas are endless!!
Well....I'm off...the Kids want to go rent movies.....

Really...I have been Working!!

Its been so busy around here with all the end of school year events but I have been crafting, slowly for sure!! This is what I'm working on and its almost finished...you should see my craft shack...what a mess! =;O)

I know, I know...what kind of a picture is that?! Its raining here and its so dark. Everything I tried wouldn't work! (When I list this on eBay there will be much better photos!!!) It's a beautiful, Envelope Album and it has 12! tags inside it! Hopefully it will be finished by the end of the week!! Speaking of this week...besides a fun night for the girls at The Jungle, a fabulous Flute concert at the school, field trips and more....My daughter, bridged to a Junior Girl Scout last night. Now both girls have bridged as Miranda went to a Cadet a week or so ago!! I just loved how the Brownie Vests looked as they were taken off each girl and placed on the pole before crossing the bridge...Very Cool!
