Happy Valentine's Day!!!!

Just a quick post to say Hello!!!

I had so many ideas this year for adorable Valentines.....I bought the supplies...and unfortunately...here they sit in my studio...in bags....waiting...Such is life these days...I did take time out tonight to create some cute little Valentines to give out tomorrow...of course they needed to be quick, inexpensive and cute...Here's what I came up with....all created while watching American Idol....



Pretty Cute....All packaged and ready to go.....I love Valentines. Little envelopes...Hearts...Ribbon...all fun.



Do you have any special plans? Romantic Dinner? Dancing? Movies? Boycotting the whole thing? My Honey sent me a big bouquet of fruit today...a little pre-valentines....I loved it....Pineapple hearts...Chocolate covered strawberries...oh my!!! It was lovely!! Whatever you do tomorrow/today...I hope your day is special...

Happy 108th Birthday!!!

It's Dr. Seuss's Birthday!!! Were he still alive, he would be 108 today!! We started celebrating his birthday when the Girls were in preschool and I guess since I love his work so much....I just can't stop....for breakfast we had the typical...Green Eggs and Ham....

I made them their lunches....silly lunches.....which they partly think they are too "old" for {humph} and part of them still love!! I hope the "love" part always wins out and they never tire of my goofy things!! I'm sure I enjoy it far more than they do but I can't stop.....my Husband will be getting a "fish" sandwich in his lunch too!!

{Speaking of "fish" shaped sandwiches....I searched ALL of the area looking for that Pepperidge Farms Goldfish Bread...went to 4 different grocery stores...until one store manager said....Oh, they only have that on the East Coast!!! What???? How can that be??? I mean, I know the East Coast rocks and Dr. Seuss was born in Massachusetts so the need for fish bread must be pretty high out there....but there are some pretty cool fish out here on the West Coast as well...some that would really like to sink their teeth into some of that bread...Just Saying!!}
Back to Dr. Seuss.....I will be making these Truffula Trees for an after school treat!! When I saw these online...I just loved them, seriously a lot!! I'll post pictures when they are done!!

In the mean time.....enjoy this movie trailer for The Lorax.....it comes out today and I actually want to go see it!!!

I love you to "Pieces"!!!!

I was working on a couple of orders for some chocolate covered pretzels...after I was done and getting ready to clean up, I looked at all the broken pretzels pieces and thought, hmmmmm, I'll make those for the Kids as an after school snack. So I sat back down and using the broken pieces I made a bunch of these little tasty cutie sticks...

Then I thought, hey...they would make a fun snack anytime...for anyone...suddenly they turned into this...I couldnt help myself...thats how it works for me...I think of something and nothing else can happen until its out of my head...and I should be working...and here I am playing around.....the tag says: I Love You to Pieces! Happy Valentines Day!!

Cute huh?!! Now you know what to do with all those nagging, broken pretzels pieces you have hanging around your house!! =:O)

Camping Snack Attack!!!

I'm sending this card and little snack attack box to a super special kid, mine =:O) who is currently volunteering up at a cancer camp. For several years he was a camper there and now he is volunteering his time! I love that! The card is stamped with Camping Riley! I love Riley...hes so fun to color!!

Some of his favorites are in the box. I used some Basic Grey paper to wrap a couple of the candies to add a little somethin' to the look! I'm sure he wont even notice but it was fun just the same!

The Tests Came Back!

Okay...I know its silly, but I like it! I found these great big Test Tubes and I thought, hmmmm.. I'll figure something out....so they sat...and then this week a I was at the pool with the kids and one of my Daughter's friends was there....her Mom and I got to talking about how I was looking for a specific beach lounge chair and I had searched all over for it and couldn't find it...fast forward to a couple of hours later...back home, a knock at the door...she had been out shopping and found the chair I wanted and picked it up for me!!!!! How nice is that??? It made my day and now I have a cool chair to lay on at the pool!!!! Anyway, she didn't want money for it so I made her this cute little "Thank You"...The candy inside is her favorite, but the ideas are endless of what you could put in it!! The colors match the color of the chair...fun!!!

Here's what the top looks like. It's such a fun little thing, I don't know why I like it so, I hope she does. I used Imaginisce paper that I've had for a while (Thanks Jackie!!) Hero Arts stamps. Doodlebug Card stock & Rhinestones, punches, ribbon and a whole lot of Sour Gummi Worms!!

I love Random Acts of Kindness! Have a great weekend! Its going to be in the 100's tomorrow...I'll be back at the pool with the Kids!! Have Fun!!!

Altered Gift Card & Treat Box!!!

Another Treat!!! I must really be in a Pink and Teal kinda mood..seems like it...but Pink is my favorite!! I saw this in a magazine and thought, what a great idea so I had to try it out with my own spin!! This little tin is so adorable, I rescued it from my Prima flower stash =:O). I added 9 coordinating and wrapped Hershey treats and a hand made tag and viola....the perfect way to give someone a gift card...just slip the card on top of the chocolates and you're done!! Love it!!

I hope everyone is having a fabulous week!! Mine has not been to shabby!! Honey has some work, Kids feel better, the Sun is shinning....I'm feeling pretty blessed!! Hope you have a Great weekend!! Until next time......

Treats, Treats and More Treats!!!

All I want to do lately are these happy little treats!! I don't know why but they just make me so happy! I could do them all day!! I used the Amuse stamp, Thank You, because I love it!! The little lovey bear is from Stampin' Up! The paper is the fabulous imaginisce paper that I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE.

Last week was not that fun! Everybody ended up with the flu bug and I have done more clorox bleach and lysol cleanning than anyone should have too. My hospital, oops, I mean my house, smells fresh and clean though and you have to like that!! Now I can get back to crafting!!!

A Quick Treat!!

Ever wake up in the morning and remember its someones Birthday...maybe a co-worker or post person? This little treat is so easy to make, looks great, tastes great...geez...it must be great!! =;0)

Using punches, I created the little Hershey peppermint candy sandwiches. I used the Amuse "Birthday Wishes" stamp and a Clear stamp Princess or Fairy stamp from the dollar bin at Michaels, colored with Copics and attached the sandwiches! The topper, I used a Spellbinder Nestabilities and cut 2 sizes...finished with a cute bow...and viola...a cute, easy, Birthday treat for someone special!! The great thing about this treat is it can be adapted to fit any occasion...Thank You, Congrats, Welcome...etc!!
