Tin Transformation!

I did this tutorial for the P K Glitz blog and thought I'd share it here too!!

We've all had something that came in a little tin, mints, buttons, ect., don't throw away those tins, reuse them but make them prettier!! (You can also buy brand new tins online or I've seen them at Michaels) Today I'm using a small round tin.

First gather up your supplies: Glitter, Sticky tape, I'm using 1/4" (both of those items you can get at P K Glitz!) =:O). Tin, scrapbook paper, ribbon and small embellishment.

Run the sticky tape along the outside rim of the top lid going all the way around and peel away the protective layer.

Glitter up the sticky tape by pouring generous amounts of glitter on it. Brush off any excess glitter to save.

Next you'll want to cut a piece of scrapbook paper to fit the bottom side of the tin and run all the way around. Apply it to the tin using the sticky tape.

Now you're almost done! Fill the tin with a little treat (I used M&M's) or somethin' somethin' and tie a pretty ribbon around it. Add a little embellishment on top, I used my vintage dictionary buttons found here but you can use a tag, a flower, whatever suits you and viola...an adorable little treat tin, perfect for a million reasons!!

Here is another view!

Fun Huh?! I would love to see any tins you decorate!!!!
The Kids are going to be tie-dying some shirts today and hopefully we will then head off to the park for some swinging....Hope your day is fabulous!!

My Little Drama Queen!

Seems like a busy week but I don't seem to have a lot completed! I worked on personal layouts today. It would be really great if I could catch up and have at least one complete year done...LOL..right?!!
During the summers we enroll the Kids into classes to keep the boredom at bay and me, sane....a couple of years ago my Daughter picked Drama Class...they ended up doing "Annie"! It was so fun and she was just a natural at being a Drama Queen!! =:o)

I've used sooooooooo many different products on this page....its a little crazy but a girl can never have too many products on her page...can she? I kinda wish I had used a darker background page that way you could see the lace a little better! I love making the chipboard stars and glittering them up! I think they look so neat! The cool paper flowers are Primas were given to me (Thanks Shannon!!) and I love, love, love, the ones with the black lines but don't know what the line was called.
Am so happy its Friday, I hoping I get to sleep in tomorrow, just a hour or so, probably not but I can certainly hope for it! The Kids are going to have a big sleepover at their Brothers place tomorrow so they are super excited and....that means Honey and I are alone...hmmmmmm....sounds like Date Night to me!!!
Have a Great Weekend!!

I will have a new card kit up by the end of the weekend on Etsy! These are just some of things you can make with the kit! Add stuff from your own stash to make it completely you-unique!!

The tag will look so cute on a Holiday gift and who doesnt love getting a chocolate bar, especially when its wrapped up all pretty!!??!! Here's a close up of the card! I've decided Felt is my new friend! I love working with it and makes things look so soft and pretty!!

I still need to brush up on my photo skills...I've decided that my camera is really the problem =;O) but it doesnt help that I can't find the proper lighting!
Hard to believe the Kids start school on Monday! Happy about it but realize they are so getting older! My Daughter is heading into Middle School....how did that happen??? Amazing!!!
Have a great weekend and don't forget to swing by my Etsy shop later on in the weekend!! Hugs!

School's almost Back in Session!!!

The summer is coming to a close. The kids get their new schedules soon and I will have 3 kids in 3 different schools, luckily, 1 has his own car. I'm dreading the cost...this years yearbook is $80 alone for one of them! Add in the P.E. clothes, dues, pictures, ect....well...its overwhelming!!
I made this card today just because I am Thankful for school starting soon and that the kids still like school, well....most of the time! Its exciting!

I'm working on a couple of little school tags that I will sneak into the kids backpacks with a treat of some sort on the first day of school...I'll show you those soon!! Until then, Have a great day and Thank You for visiting!!
